My Story

My name is Irene Terenzoni, owner and provider at Vital Starts Nutrition & Lactation. I'm a registered dietitian and board certified lactation consultant (IBCLC). I completed my dietetic internship at Mass General Hospital in 2009 and went on to work for Mass General Brigham for 13 years in maternal/infant nutrition and lactation. My mission is to support your family's nutrition through the prenatal and postpartum periods.  This means counseling on prenatal and postpartum diets as well as lactation and infant feeding. As a mother of 2 young boys, I have firsthand experience with many of the feeding challenges that families go through. I struggled with difficulty latching, exclusive long-term pumping, mouth/tongue ties and other issues. I have the lived experience to work with you through the tough stuff. Additionally, I've worked with diverse patient populations both in the US and in Central America and received a Bachelors in Spanish. This experience, along with Spanish fluency, allows me to connect more meaningfully with clients from varying backgrounds. I look forward to supporting you in your journey through pregnancy and beyond!
